Making it a full day in a dress means fussing and fidgeting and resisting the urge to run back to my room and put on jeans.
Sometimes I paint my nails when I am bored but I usually get too excited about something else before they're dry and I mess them up.I used to think everyone's hair was straight like mine and that people with curly hair curled it every day.
If I straighten my hair, it's because I slept on it wet and it got crazy. I pretty much run a straightener over it once and that's good enough. I don't section it off and spend 2 hours doing so.
I don't spend 2 hours on anything cosmetic.
All of this to say, I broke my norm on Friday. Mom and I went to get our nails done. We opted for the no-chip. It's practically impossible to get off your nails (they soak your fingers in acetone) but that also means it lasts for like 2 or 3 weeks.
Mom also bought some Moroccan oil that I used on my hair which is now very soft and nice. Also, it must be the rule to package Moroccan oil in blue and brown. Seriously, Google image it. I didn't know how much to use :-/

Then I went to hang with my friend Hannah, had coffee, and went to Target. We bought ingredients for dinner and dessert and made our own! I also bought a pomegranate face mask and Maybelline SuperStay 12 hour lip stain/gloss, which is my favorite combo. I don't know why the number 10 is printed on the package, but it is. It also lasts less than 3 hours but it smells good when you open the package and the color I picked, Berry Heavenly, worked out really well for me. And just so you know, it does not last 12 hours. It does not last 10 hours. It could barely handle 3 hours in the car with and a medium Blizzard from DQ. So take that, Maybelline researchers. Good thing it's fun to apply.
Hannah did a great job on the chicken stir fry and veggies. I had inta-rice and cookies to make.
A classic comedy to accompany our meal.
So for anyone keeping track, that's
-a manicure
-Moroccan argan oil on my hair
-a fruity face mask
-awesome lip stain
-made cookies and dinner with a friend.
Friday well spent!
Look forward to yet another gardening appreciation post and some summer dog photos because Max is seriously photogenic.
Also, I found these crazy earrings at Target. Aren't they FANTASTIC?
